PALM HARBOR — June 1, 2007 — The Virginia Employment Commission has selected Geographic Solutions, Inc. to provide an internet labor exchange software solution that will revolutionize the manner in which jobseekers can learn about available jobs, and how employers can hire employees. This state-of-the-art system will provide universal access to on-line services for individuals seeking jobs; employers looking to recruit talent; and providers promoting their programs.
Jobseekers and employers in Virginia will have access to a wide array of employment related services. Jobseekers will be able to post their resumes online and search for all available jobs in Virginia, using a search engine that "spiders" jobs from company and government websites, newspaper postings, and corporate job boards. Employers will be able to post their job openings, at no cost, and search for candidates to fill their employment needs.
The system's case management module will assist the Virginia Employment Commission in effectively managing their federal workforce programs and submitting performance and management reports that are fully compliant with Common Measures.
